Sign Franchises, Signs Express expands in Ireland

Signs Franchise continues to expand in Ireland. It isn’t easy in this day and age to open as a new business, but for Signs Express Derrylins new franchisees the stability and opportunities are already in place to gain a firm foothold within the competitive sign making sector but Signs Express continues to expand in Ireland

As the newest addition to the Irish network, Signs Express Derrylin is now open under the guidance of new franchisees Sean Doonan, Seamus Owens and Frank Murphy. Having worked in the quarrying and concrete industry for a number of years, Sean, Seamus and Frank decided to set up their own business in 5 years ago dealing with business and project management including the provision of health and safety and road traffic management plans. Now three years on, the team decided to look for a new industry opportunity.

Sean commented on the decision to move into the signage market, The main reason we looked at signs was as a result of out intention to supply the construction and road contract industries with temporary road signs. When investigating the area we realised that a sign making business would complement our plans and would therefore help us provide a greater service to our customers.

Seamus added, We stumbled across Signs Express by chance after seeing an advert in a trade magazine so decide to explore our options further. We made an appointment to visit Signs Express HQ and met with Tony Marsh sales and marketing director who gave us a real insight to the support network. It was quickly apparent that Signs Express was the right way to go. In fact we were so pleased with what we seen, we didnt even consider any other franchise options. The business model ticked all the boxes and we also felt we’d have enough freedom to control the direction of our investment whilst still receiving the necessary support.

Now six months on from their initial interest, Signs Express Derrylin is the latest in the Signs Express network to open its doors in Ireland, adding to its continuingly growing franchise network. The Derrylin centre, however, isnt the only recent addition to the Signs Express group, three other centres have also opened under new management. In todays economy, starting in business could be considered as a gamble, however, by careful planning and diligence on behalf of the franchisor, the Signs Express business model is continuing to provide a stable package for new and already established centres.

As part of Irelands leading signs and graphics company, Signs Express Derrylin will provide a complete design, manufacture and installation service for all forms of signage including interior and exterior signs, vehicle graphics, exhibition and display products, window graphics and health and safety signage for businesses in Derrylin and surrounding areas.

Service Franchises, Mr Electric Aire Serv

Mr. Electric Oxford and Aire Serv Central, Eddie Gilbert, Owner of the Mr. Electric Oxford and Aire Serv Central franchises discusses the transition from Mr Electric franchise to heating, air conditioning and refrigeration franchising Opportunities...

I Originally purchased a Mr Electric Franchise six years ago, which has since proved to be a rewarding experience. I was initially apprehensive about running the business with no previous knowledge of the Electrical Contracting industry, but with the support of the Home Office and a commitment to my business objectives I was able to succeed. As an addition the successful Mr Electric operation, Eddie decided to purchase the Aire Serv Franchise for the Central region. The transition to the Aire Serv franchise system was easy as it is much the same as Mr Electric. The only problems I encountered were some minor technical issues. I was also happy in the knowledge that the successful branding, community relations and good quality service could be replicated with the Aire Serv brand.

Since purchasing the Aire Serv franchise, the business has now grown from just employing one person to three full time staff who are always busy. A lot of our business comes from a number of different commercial and domestic clients, which means we have lots of business opportunities. One of the key reasons for our success is that customers know that we are always available, guaranteed and will do the job at the agreed time. As well as the support, which the Home Office has given Eddie, he has also been very proactive in his business strategies. I always treat each situation like any business problem, by applying a number of key transferable business skills. One of my biggest challenges was to create a set of processes, which enhance the efficiency of operations. With my background in Information Technology, I was well placed to apply a number of skills. Therefore I designed specific software to cope with a number of process issues. In the long term, with the support of the wider Aire Serv and Mr Electric team, I hope to continue growing steadily, increase my portfolio of clients and become a well recognise brand around the Oxford and Central areas.

Maid2Clean Cleaning Franchise Case Study 1

Franchisee Testimonial Julie Ginnever. Worksop Maid2Clean Franchisee.

Having been made redundant twice Julie Ginnever decided she would like to take control of her own destiny. Before finishing her last job, a company which ran workshops on how to set up your own company came to visit and this was where she first heard about franchises. Julie chose Maid2Clean because, having very little knowledge of running a company herself, she wanted to get it right. The business model suited her perfectly, it didnt cost a fortune to set up or maintain and there was plenty of on going support. Julie says I have now been running my franchise for nearly 5 years and Im happy to say I hope to be running it for many more years to come. In just 5 years I have watched the business model grow and develop. The support and input from all the franchises in the Maid2Clean network is amazing, more like a family. You are only ever a phone call away from the best support you could wish for. I wont pretend its all plain sailing, far from it. It throws up its own challenges as does any business but the rewards are there. I have found that you really do get out of Maid2Clean what you put in.
