O’ Briens Sandwich Bars and the Irish Franchising Association are awarded funding through Skillnet Ltd O’ Briens Sandwich Bars and the Irish Franchising Association have been awarded significant funding through Skillnets Ltd to provide subsidised training to people employed in the franchise sector. The Irish Franchising Skillnet will actively train individuals who are interested in running their own businesses, providing them with the practical tools, skills and assistance that will be necessary to operate successfully. The Irish Franchising Skillnet aims to support the competitiveness of franchising business in Ireland through training and development.

Areas of training include Customer Relations, Executive Development, Financial Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Presentation Skills, Sales and Marketing and Technical Processes. CEO of O’Briens Fiacra Nagle says “We are delighted to be awarded this funding which will further increase the training opportunities for O’Briens franchisees. Through this initiative franchisees and staff will be provided with a unique opportunity to further increase the necessary skills to succeed in business. O’Briens has extremely high standards of operating and through continued training our franchise partners can continue to operate their stores to the highest levels, as set out by O’Briens”.

Some of the original Master Franchisors that have been instrumental in developing the Irish Franchising Skillnet and who will be availing of the training to further develop their franchises and the network are Snap Printing, Action Coach, Aussie Pet Mobile, Home Instead, Chem Dry, and Mobile Car Valeting. The Irish Franchising Skillnet is funded by member companies and the Training Networks Programme, an initiative of Skillnets Ltd, funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
