Why did you
become involved in franchising: I wanted to be my own boss and make my own
decisions as well as having full support and experience of a franchise behind
me, So that if I did come up against any problems I would have the backing of
an experience team behind me.
Why did you
choose this franchise business: I felt there was a market out there for this
and the fact it was dust free odour free was a big advantage
How did you
research the company before setting up: I checked out the business in general
and also checked out competition in my area and I felt there was nobody out
there with a unique system as the Ultimate Floor Sanding
How did the
master franchise help you starting a business in Ireland: They were excellent, they
would answer any question no matter how daft it sounded. If they didn't know
the answer they would be back with an answer. They never once tried to sell it
they just told it how it was.
Does the
master franchise continue to help you on an ongoing basis: Yes, They never
stopped helping me, if it's with Advertising or any other Problems; they have
always done there best to sort it out. Very Professional and courteous
What
difficulties did you face starting off: I suppose the biggest difficulty would
be getting the money together. And convincing family I was making the right
decision as I was leaving a full time job to go working for myself.
How did you
overcome these difficulties: I dug into my saving and the Bank was very nice to
me. As for my Family they had to convince themselves that I knew what I was
doing.
What advice
would you give to others who have just started franchising or are looking for a
franchise business in Ireland:
Shop
around, Look at Compition in your area, look at your finances and see what you
can afford as not all business start to take in money straight away. If you do
this make your decision and never look back.
