The Munster Tool Co franchise, who are based in Mallow, took on their eighth franchisee, Chris Mulcahy, in the Waterford and South Tipperary area, last August. Already their ninth franchisee has come on board. Pat McCormack is the newest addition to the Munster Tool Co team. He will be operating in the Longford/Roscommon/Westmeath area and is relishing the opportunity to continue the success experienced by the other eight franchisees already in place around the country.

Martin McMahon and Donal Healy, who founded the company in 1980, can see why their company is so popular and such a success. As Donal explains, over the last 25 years we have built strong relationships with the top automotive tool manufacturers worldwide and we have established a reputation for supplying high quality products and support to our customers. Pat, along with all the other franchisees, will enjoy all the benefits of running his own business but with the backing and support of an established company. Martin McMahon went on to say that, franchising our sales and distribution activities has meant that our customers continue to get the high quality products and support that they deserve with a level of service that can only be provided by a local, owner-managed business.

This then allows Donal and I to concentrate on sourcing the best products available on the worldwide market. Since 2004, Donal and Martin, along with Eamon Curtin of HJM Business Development, have managed the successful development of the Munster Tool Co franchise. A pipeline of enquiries and applications ensures that the franchise network will continue to grow.
