Dublin Croke Park 2012 Friday April 27, 2012 - Saturday April 28, 2012 - The franchise sector in Ireland has shown spectacular growth over recent years and according to the Irish Franchise survey, there has been a marked increase in turnover for the sector to Eur2.4 billion representing an increase of 15per cent since the last survey 5 years ago. In total the Irish franchise industry contributes 4,086 operating units on the island of Ireland and offers 42,927 full time jobs to the economy. This year, The Irish Franchise Association employ a new streamlined, paperless online entry system through their website. The awards categories represent both retail and service industries and include Franchisor of the Year, Franchisee of the Year, Best Emerging Franchise and Franchise Person of the Year and the closing date for nominations is January 14th 2012. Last year, top honours went to The Streat, Fastway Couriers Ireland, Snap Printing, Signs Express, Caremark and Chem dry Ireland. The 2012 Irish Franchise Awards will be presented at a formal black tie awards ceremony Croke Park. The award ceremony will reflect the remarkable growth of the franchise sector in these challenging times. Tickets for the award ceremony are now on sale at Eur110 per person or Eur800 per table of eight.
The Awards night is the highlight of the Ulster Bank Irish Franchise Association EXPO on February 25th and 26th. The purpose of the EXPO is to act as a showcase for Irish franchisors and the franchising sector with excellent opportunities for prospective franchisees to meet existing franchisees and seek out new business opportunities.
