Fast-Fix Jewelry and Watch Repair Franchise has signed a master franchise agreement to open stores in Ireland. Under the agreement, former Shell Oil Executive Shane Cooney, based in Dublin, Ireland, will be responsible for developing and promoting the Fast-Fix Jewelry Repair franchise, as well as overseeing leasing the locations and finding other franchisees. The first shops will open in Ireland with outlets throughout the UK planned for the near future. The Franchising company also plans to open franchises internationally. The Fast-Fix Franchise operates more than 150 franchised locations in shopping malls throughout the States. The stores specialize in "while-you-shop" repairs, including ring sizing, chain replacement, remounting, engraving, eyeglass repair and watch-battery replacement. The company saw more than $50 million in sales in 2006 and plans to open more than 15 franchised locations every 12 months.
