In Ireland the Pizza Hut brand has just been taken over by the Cronin brothers, the Irish brothers who developed the Godfathers Pizza Franchise and made it one of the fastest growing Pizza Franchises in Ireland. The rebranding of the Godfathers Pizza units to incorporate the Pizza Hut name has already begun but no dates have been released as to when all the Godfather Pizza units will be undated with the new Pizza Hut interiors and exteriors. Pizza Hut currently has over 11,000 restaurants globally and has an annual turnover in excess of 10 billion dollars. They have almost 1,500 pizza restaurants in Europe alone, with around half of these being located in England, Scotland and Wales. The company was floated on the Stock Exchange in 1970, is now owned by Yum Brands Inc., the group that also owns the food franchises: Taco Bell, KFC, Long John Silver's and A&W All-American Food Restaurants.
